My Official Bio

Dr. Tiffani Teachey, PMP is a senior project engineer, TEDx international speaker, and bestselling children's author on a mission to close the STEM gap for kids who have never met an engineer who looks like them. What started as a single classroom question, asking a room full of students if they had ever met an engineer, has grown into a full body of work spanning books, media, speaking, and publishing.

With more than two decades of engineering experience, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina A&T State University, Dr. Teachey brings a rare combination of technical credibility and storytelling instinct to everything she creates. Her engineering career and her writing career have run side by side rather than one replacing the other, and it shows in how grounded her books are in what a STEM career actually looks like.

She has grown a library of sixteen STEM titles, including the bestselling What Can I Be? STEM Careers from A to Z, the STEM Crew Kids Adventures series, the 10-Minute STEM Experiments collection, and Closing the STEM Gap, her book for the educators, companies, and parents doing this work alongside her. What Can I Be? is now available in five languages and has reached classrooms from local schools to Ghana.

Dr. Teachey is also the founder and editor-in-chief of STEM Crew Magazine, a free digital publication that puts STEM content directly into the hands of students, parents, and educators between books and between episodes. Her work has additionally been featured across national and international outlets, including Forbes, CBS, NBC, Fox, MSN, Grit Daily, Sheen Magazine, and Brainz.

Beyond her own books and magazine, she is the founder of Inspired Authors Publishing, where she helps other professionals turn their career expertise into a Career Storybook of their own, and she hosts The STEM Blueprint Show, a series of conversations with the people shaping the next generation of STEM leaders. She is a sought-after speaker on closing the STEM gap, representation, and building a career, and a business, around engineering.
