Why It’s Okay to Take Risks and Fail
Share
Engineering is all about trying new things
Engineers are people who solve problems, like building bridges or designing robots. But to do this, they sometimes have to take risks and try things that might not work. That’s okay! It’s all part of the process.
Taking risks leads to big discoveries
If engineers never took risks, we wouldn’t have airplanes, video games, or even the lightbulb! It’s about trying out new ideas, testing them, and learning from mistakes. Every time something doesn’t work, engineers learn something new and make it better.
Why failure is okay
When something doesn’t go as planned, it’s not the end—it’s just another way to learn! Engineers keep going, trying new things, and solving even bigger problems.
How you can be an engineer
Experiment: Try building things with LEGO or drawing your own designs.
Work with others: Engineers often team up to solve big problems, so try working on projects with friends.
Ask questions: Think about how things work or how they could work better.
